As a PRT English teacher, you will play a vital role in building a strong foundation in language and communication skills for primary students. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging lessons in English that align with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework, while also catering to the individual learning needs of students. You will be expected to cultivate a love for reading, writing, and effective communication among young learners through interactive teaching methodologies and innovative classroom practices.
Key responsibilities will include creating well-structured lesson plans, incorporating inquiry-based learning approaches, and assessing students’ progress regularly. You will also be responsible for fostering critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in the classroom, while ensuring that each child receives personal attention and support. In addition to classroom teaching, active participation in co-curricular activities, school events, and collaborative planning sessions with fellow faculty members will form an essential part of your role.
Qualifications and Experience:
Graduation or Post Graduation in English or a related discipline.
B.Ed. degree from a recognized institution is mandatory.
Prior teaching experience in reputed CBSE/IB schools will be considered an added advantage.
A minimum of 2–4 years of relevant teaching experience at the primary level is preferred.
Desired Skills:
Strong command of spoken and written English.
Ability to implement innovative teaching strategies.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Familiarity with IB PYP pedagogy will be advantageous.
