The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging English lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework. This includes planning inquiry-based learning activities, integrating real-world connections into the curriculum, and ensuring that lessons cater to the diverse needs of students. The teacher will also focus on building strong reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills while encouraging students to become confident communicators.
Key responsibilities include developing lesson plans, assessing student progress through formative and summative methods, maintaining detailed records of performance, and collaborating with other subject teachers to support an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Active participation in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and curriculum reviews will also be expected.
Qualifications & Experience:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in English or related field, along with a B.Ed. is mandatory.
Prior teaching experience in the IB PYP curriculum is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate strong subject knowledge, familiarity with inquiry-based pedagogy, and a passion for teaching young learners.
Excellent communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and classroom management abilities are highly valued.
Experience Required: Minimum 2–3 years of teaching English at the PYP level in an IB school or reputed international school.
