Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Home Science as per the academic curriculum for the assigned classes.
  • Deliver lessons that cover theoretical and practical aspects, including nutrition, health, hygiene, textiles, resource management, and family relationships.
  • Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and project-based activities to make learning experiential.
  • Evaluate students’ academic performance and practical skills regularly.
  • Maintain records, coordinate with parents, and contribute to school events involving Home Science demonstrations or exhibitions.
  • Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and values in the context of family and social science.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Home Science from a recognized university.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience at school level is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring young girls in both theoretical and hands-on learning environments.

The school also takes pride in a Rainwater Harvesting System that has been functional for more then 20 years, as a step towards water conservation. Through programs like Meatless Day, we stimulate the students to be committed to environmental conservation. The school’s policy involves innovative methods and techniques to create awareness for sustainable development.
